Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Rinku, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including families booking ceremonies and pandits offering services.
2. Description of Service
Rinku is an online marketplace that connects individuals and families ("Customers") seeking Hindu ceremonial services with independent pandits ("Pandits") who provide those services. Rinku facilitates the connection and booking process but is not itself a provider of religious or ceremonial services.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Rinku uses OTP-based authentication; you must keep your registered email secure.
4. Bookings and Payments
When you create a booking, you enter into a direct service agreement with the pandit. Rinku facilitates the booking and payment process. All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. Payment is due at the time of booking confirmation.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations made 48+ hours before the ceremony: full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours: 50% refund. No-shows: no refund. Pandit-initiated cancellations: full refund to the customer and Rinku will arrange a replacement where possible. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
6. Pandit Obligations
Pandits on Rinku agree to: • Provide accurate credentials and maintain their verification status. • Honour confirmed bookings or provide adequate notice and assist in finding a replacement. • Perform ceremonies in accordance with the tradition and specifications agreed upon booking. • Treat customers with respect and dignity at all times.
7. Customer Obligations
Customers agree to: • Provide a safe and appropriate space for the ceremony. • Pay the agreed amount in full and on time. • Treat pandits with respect. • Provide accurate address and ceremony details.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You must not: • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose. • Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews or content. • Circumvent the platform to arrange bookings with pandits outside of Rinku. • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
Rinku is a marketplace and is not responsible for the actions, quality, or conduct of any pandit. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rinku's liability in connection with any booking shall not exceed the amount paid for that booking.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of Rinku constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
